VIDALiving
Graphic Designer
VIDA Living is a global lifestyle brand of design-led, quality furniture. Their
headquarters is in Dundalk Ireland where the main office, showroom and
warehouse is located. There is also a smaller facility in Manchester, England as
well as an office in Vietnam. They supply leading retailers with ranges carefully
selected for the market as well as designing and manufacturing their own
exclusive furniture ranges.
As the in-house Graphic Designer I worked within the Marketing Department to
create all of the Graphic Design needs of the company. VIDA Living has greatly
expanded over the last number of years and I was the first person to be fully
dedicated to the area of Graphic Design.
In my time at VIDA Living I created material for international furniture shows
that they exhibited at, this material included invites, handouts, web banners,
email signatures, posters and anything else that may be required. I also created
monthly special offer flyers, Mailchimp campaigns, presentations and I edited
any photography of new furniture ranges. The company also went through
a re-brand in the Summer of 2016 so I updated all of the documents to
reflect this as well as updating the existing logo suite and creating a new set
of brand guidelines.

Designwest
Temporary Graphic Designer
Designwest is a full service graphic and web design company based in Kiltimagh Co.Mayo. Ireland
This was a temporary position to cover one of the Designers from Designwest who was away for this period of time. During my few weeks in the studio I helped out with the general running of the studio. This involved dealing with clients and taking enquiries on various projects. I also worked on a number of logos and did some small projects for local companies such as Ireland West Airport Knock.

Proof Brand & Design Agency
Junior Designer
Proof Brand & Design Agency offers a wide range of effective graphic design solutions for brand, print and digital media.
While working as a Junior Designer at Proof I was involved in every aspect of the design process working across a wide range of projects. One of the bigger projects I worked on was for the EuroSTAR Software Testing Conference. The 2014 conference was held in the CCD in Dublin. We were required to design the full branding for this conference. This included a re-design of their old logo, a sales brochure, conference guide, web sliders as well as a range of other conference material. I worked directly with the client for many of these projects related to the conference.
Another company I did quite a lot of work for during my time at Proof was CAOBISCO who are the Association of Chocolate, Biscuit and Confectionery Industries of Europe. I worked on their Annual Report for 2014 as well as designing designed leaflets, their 2013 Christmas card which was sent to all of their member companies across Europe and a brochure which was used in the European Parliament.
Other notable companies I was involved with during my time at Proof were the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) who I designed a number of leaflets for and Bord Iascaigh Mhara (BIM).
From my time in Proof I gained invaluable experience in the professional world of graphic design be it branding, logo design, illustration, or editorial designs. I feel I gained a better understanding of the design process as well as the ability to effectively work as part of a team or to work alone with a client should the project require it.
