Belgian artist - designer, Frédéric Hakoune was born in Antwerp in 1985. As a teenager, he submerged himself in art culture and antiques. After studying industrial design he joined Arne Quinze in 2007. Later on, he joined Marcel Wanders studio in Amsterdam. He oversaw projects ranging from shops, exhibition conception and product design to graphics and architecture followed by interior design and installations. His singular vision was first fully exposed at the 21st international biennale in Kortrijk and at Futurotextiel, Later on in 2010-2011 at the DHUB museum in Barcelona. Those experiences put Frédéric at the forefront of a new wave of creators that blurred the lines between art and design and a fine work in details, intricate objects within the context of contemporary design and culture.
