Sound inspired vision is the heart of today’s modern music scene. Diffama Films creates music videos that keep creative edge with today’s modern rap in message, meaning and beat.

A masterful mix of fortitude, skill, with a talented command of digital technology, has been the formula for Diffama Film’s success.

The word Diffama is Latin meaning “to make known or spread around.” Name true to its game, Diffama Films is currently established as a up and coming leader in visual production for talented local artist in DC, VA and MD. Diffama Films visual production is a respected key aspect of a music artist’s success.

Mark Griffin, CEO and lead creative talent of Diffama Films brings key elements to proof in the music videos, graphic design, and photography work that he and his team produce. His work in visual art isn’t about making money but about being inspired by a love for this art form and the power of entertainment through message.

To date, Diffama Films has produced over twenty videos that showcase the rhythm and message of local musical talent. The majority of Mark Griffin’s work at Diffama Films, exhibits the talented, complex world of rap.

The art form of rap makes implicit demands on visual video expression. For video to work with rap it has to be true and authentic to the artist voice. Diffama Film’s videos give visual expression to both the reality of lyrical rage in the message while keeping score with the mesmerizing addiction of its beat. Diffama Film’s video work links the viewer through vision to the meaning of the music.

Lighting, setting, camera angle, and creative composition that executes a flair for introduction and endings, are all trademark features expertly woven into each Diffama Film product.

Alleys, tunnels, and bare wall vantage points are favored for raw lyrics that captivate by beat and impact through movement. Balancing light and motion gives Diffama Films projects such as B. Done & Cosby- SummerTime and Money Bagz- “Gang Gang a fluid, creative glow that vacillates between sunlight and movement keeping visual pace with the music.
Creative Vision: Parts to Whole Visual Production

While each project remains true to the artist’s musical poetry, there are elemental stamps that mark the production of a Diffama Films video masterpiece in the making.

Lighting, setting, camera angle, and creative composition that executes a flair for introduction and endings, are all trademark features expertly woven into each Diffama Film product.

When filming videos created by local talent and enjoyed by a regional audience, selecting a setting that resonates with the music’s location source is key.

Specializing in outdoor settings, Diffama Films keenly selects unique and original locations that are a part of the everyday life space reflected in the music. In other terms, the setting keeps it real and raw, connecting the audience instantly to the music.

Alleys, tunnels, and bare wall vantage points are favored for raw lyrics that captivate by beat and impact through movement. Balancing light and motion gives Diffama Films projects such as B. Outdoors is generally a first location choice. Artist often leave the specific details to Mark’s expert eye. When artist want a broad range of the DC city experience from capital to corner as showcased in Money Bagz- On the Map, Diffama Films delivers with impact. Speaking on reality, regarding 5 cents for bags in the nations capital on streets in need, while a few miles away Congressmen with no impact, drink bottled water in priceless crystal cements the music’s message with steel in the viewers memory. Visual messages that make you think long after the music is done.

A unique flair for pairing universal themes to a music message in videos like, L.T.M- I Got Next, contrast hard lyrical’s with more classical visual play. The power of Mark Griffin’s visual voice to eclipse the vibrancy of this music message with just the right measure of humanity is in many ways a summary of the art of his work. Diffama video’s adds just the right amount of humanity to make every audience swallow the music’s viable truths.
