Oklahoma City resident Duke Ligon actively works in the energy law sector and in civic pursuits. In addition to his work as an attorney after earning his juris doctor in the 1969, he has served in leadership roles with several energy and resource management companies. With Devon Energy Corporation, he lent his legal and strategic expertise to the company as general counsel and senior vice president. His leadership roles also include founding and managing Mekusukey Oil Company and serving as a former assistant administrator with the Federal Energy Administration in Washington, D.C. Duke Ligon also has specialized investment banking experience in energy matters.

In his civic life, Duke Ligon works to preserve America and its cultural, natural, and literary touchstones for future generations. He is a lifetime member of the Oklahoma Historical Society and has served on the boards of the state's Nature Conservancy chapter, Heritage Association, and Economics Club.
