Dr. Ramesh Sachdeva is medical professional with over two decades of experience in clinical pediatric care and health-care administration. In 2012, he joined the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) as associate executive director and as the medical director for the AAP’s Quality Initiatives department. In 2013, Dr. Ramesh Sachdeva established the AAP Department for Subspecialty Pediatrics, which he continues to oversee as medical director.

Prior to joining the AAP, Dr. Sachdeva was a corporate vice president and chief quality officer with Milwaukee, Wisconsin’s Children’s Hospital and Health System, where he was responsible for developing and implementing quality strategies throughout affiliated hospitals. Previously, Dr. Ramesh Sachdeva was involved with the Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin in various capacities for over a decade, and he held the role of vice president of quality and outcomes at the time of his departure in 2009. He continues to remain involved with the Children’s Hospital’s Pediatric Intensive Care Unit as an associate medical director.

In addition to his administrative and clinical duties, he has mentored medical students as a professor of pediatrics at the Medical College of Wisconsin since 2008.
