Dave Varney is a prolific idea generator and strategic thinker, with an unhealthy addiction for effective, engaging and creative solutions.

With 10+ years experience working on high profile brands, his unique ability to generate insights, new thinking and apply groundbreaking work through the spectrum of modern media is powerful, demonstrable in The Art of Walking campaign.

He earned his stripes at The George Agency in Melbourne, where under the watchful eye of George Tomeski, Managing Partner and Creative Director, he spent six years helping build, develop and nurture brands including St.George Bank, MyCareer, Vic Health, GPO Melbourne, and New World Supermarkets in NZ. In 2003 he helped steer the agency towards B&T's prestigious award, Emerging Agency of the Year.

Predicting the boom of digital, Dave moved to the then rapidly emerging digital department at Publicis Mojo. It was there where he developed and honed his flair for digital, helping the agency deliver a range of innovative projects including personalised video content for Hertz Present Run, the heavily awarded Maxibon Man-Chew, and a feature-length documentary The Art of Walking, which also screened internationally on National Geographic Channel.

In 2012, Dave’s undying passion for ideas that matter, ideas that can change the world, and his belief that freedom helps achieve those things saw him leave the more traditional agency life and move to Sydney to join The Conquistadors Collective.

In early 2013 he joined Guy Rooke as a founding member of The Change• Community - a socially conscious communications and ideas company that exists to empower people to live happier, healthier and more fulfilled lives.
