Design is all around us, whether it is a beautiful piece of furniture, an intelligently designed user interface, a striking graphic print or an easy to navigate website.
From sketching cartoon characters in my younger years to now studying Product Design at York St John I have always had a love for Art, Design and all things creative.
I like to take inspiration for my personal work from music, lyrics, dialogue in film, and other interests such as Rugby and Wrestling. In the past I have incorporated these interests in my work by helping local organisations with their design needs. It was these early projects that gave me experience in working to a deadline and allowed me to develop my skills to a good standard.

Work Experience

Pocketworks Mobile Ltd

Intern UI/UX designer

Whilst working at Pocketworks I have developed a greater understanding of how mobile apps are designed and developed before they are put to market. I have also learnt valuable graphics skills that I would have not otherwise had the chance to practice had I not received this opportunity. I have worked on mobile app UI/UX, web graphics, a promotional brochure and am now starting to look at product designs that can aid Pocketworks and their sales team.

JollySmith Design

Intern

At JollySmith Design I contributed to running of the business and had a hand in the design and operation of the JollySmith Design stand at the Pulse 2013 trade show.
I gained an understanding of what is needed to run a business as a sole trader and helped with the financials, stock taking and other everyday tasks.
My skills were utilised at JollySmith when designing the JollySmith exhibition stand, the promotional material for the exhibition and the press kit.
I enjoyed my time at JollySmith and have been asked to assist them with future exhibitions and trade shows.
