Craig William Taylor serves as a Data Systems Engineer with biopharmaceutical firm Genentech, Inc., in its Northern California headquarters. He directs the company’s automated data collection system that he constructed to produce reports on the product manufacturing cycle. Craig William Taylor’s accomplishments for Genentech include a sophisticated merging of specialized software into the procedures for the firm’s cell culture laboratory in order to track more than 30 bioreactors. Craig Taylor has also played a key role in standardizing the company’s use of data analysis and process monitoring, and has performed evaluations on a variety of commercially produced software packages. In 2007, the company recognized him with an award for his significant contributions to its business.
Craig Taylor has built up extensive experience in using the PI System, manufactured by OSIsoft as a high-performance real-time data and event management program. From 2001 to 2005, he worked as a PI Administrator with the California Independent System Operator in its Folsom offices, where he established measurement criteria for generator performance and developed protocols for data storage and retrieval for the statewide power system facilitator. Mr. Taylor has also worked with Bay Area company Roberts Technical Services as a Systems Application Engineer, where he analyzed and solved challenges related to that company’s implementation of PI software.
