I have a profound passion in making brands that take their specific markets by storm. My ultimate goal as a designer is to re brand Africa, of course by partnering with people, companies and organizations who share the same goal.

There have been various definitions of what a brand is from different respected authorities but personally, I believe that a brand could be as an organisation, a service or product with a ‘personality’ that is shaped by various visual devices and the people it serves. And on that note, a designer cannot “make” a brand – Its only your audience who can do this. If anything I have come to understand that we, the designers, create just the foundation of the brand.

Branding is a way of clearly highlighting what makes your offer different to, and more desirable than, anyone else’s. Effective branding elevates a product or organization from being just one commodity amongst many identical commodities, to become something with a unique character and promise. It can create an emotional resonance in the minds of consumers who choose products and services using both emotional and pragmatic judgement. These days it’s not enough to assume that buyers will purchase from your company simply because you offer something they need because there are so many companies offering similar products and services, today’s successful companies are the ones who know how to provide something extra for their customers . . .
