Ciril Jazbec (1987) is a documentary photographer born in Slovenia, which is where he first took up photography and visual storytelling. He studied management at the Faculty of Economics before his passion led him to London where he studied MA Photojournalism and Documentary Photography at the London College of Communication where he graduated in 2011.

For his documentary work he was awarded in several competitions – the winner at PDN Photo Annual 2012 – Student Work, finalist at the AOP Student Awards , the winner at Picture The Difference and the Winner of the Royal Photographic Society - Environmental Bursary 2012.

He was assigned by GEO Germany for the project in Shishmaref, Alaska. His work has been published in many printed and online publications – GEO Germany, GEO France, The Sunday Times, La Repubblica, Wired UK, FOTO8, Reader’s Digest. His personal and assigned projects took him to Kiribati, Alaska, Uganda and recently Greenland. Read Less
