Summer Sinfonietta

Marketing Manager

Together with Music Director and Orchestra Personnel Manager, we planned a marketing strategy that relied on cost-free methods including social media, local press coverage, and word of mouth. In collaboration with the orchestra's founders, I designed the logo and branding of the Summer Sinfonietta. As Marketing Manager, I created all marketing assets and managed the social media pages.

The Summer Sinfonietta was formed in 2014 to provide a creative outlet for orchestral musicians in Tallahassee during the summer months. Students from Florida State University play in, conduct, and organize the ensemble, which is dedicated to providing free, casual, energetic concerts to the Tallahassee community.

Tallahassee Youth Orchestras

Executive Director

I oversaw all administrative needs of this non-profit organization, including fundraising, marketing, bookkeeping, event production, community engagement, and board development. During my time at the TYO I increased enrollment, individual giving and sponsorship amounts, grant funding (Federal, State, & Local), concert attendance, and ticket sales, broadcast and social media presence, volunteer coordination, and overall community awareness of the organization’s mission.

I cultivated relationships with local music teachers and with several area organizations and businesses, including Capital Eurocars, Earl Bacon Insurance Agency, Opening Nights Performing Arts, the North Florida Boys Town, and The Tallahassee Ballet. The TYO’s collaboration with the Tallahassee Ballet culminated with the commission of a youth ballet by Pulitzer Prize-winning composer, Ellen Taaffe Zwilich entitled "Ballet 2017: Celestial Dance"; the project was awarded a National Endowment for the Arts ART WORKS grant.

I also expanded the TYO’s marketing initiatives by redesigning the organization’s website, creating a monthly newsletter for supporters, developing the “Spring for the TYO!” prospective student day, and was awarded a local marketing grant which allowed the TYO to purchase newspaper, magazine, and radio advertisements.
