Cynaptek Sprl

CGI artist (intern)

A vital part of my Bachelor in Computer Graphics was the internship I did at Cynaptek, a small but vibrant communication studio in Liège, Belgium, that specializes in what they call "smart entertainment": the creation of visuals to promote the activities of a company in an intelligent and entertaining way. While there, I worked on projects as varied as architectural visualization, 3D animation, character design and the studio's "Happy New Year!" greetings card.

Education

Strasbourg University

Bachelor in Art & Design

This is where I discovered graphic design and softwares such as Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign, as well as where I made my first forays into 3D modeling with SketchUp (I sucked at it). I also made some of my closest, lifelong friends there, but overall, this experience and the resulting degree never really made me a professional like it was supposed to, which later led me to enroll at the Albert Jacquard School in Belgium.
September 2009 - May 2012 France

Haute Ecole Albert Jacquard

Bachelor in Computer Graphics

Having concluded that I needed a (much) higher proficiency in the digital arts to become a professional, I decided to go back to school after two years working as a salesman and later as a waiter. I enrolled at the Technical Department of the Albert Jacquard School in Namur, Belgium, and took up studying 3D CGI fields such as architecture visualization and motion design.
