This might surprise you, but my first office was a van full of sweaty dudes, and my first real design job was designing Myspace layouts. (Remember Myspace? No? Probably a good thing.)

See, this is the kind of thing that happens when you sign a record deal in freshman year of college, hit the road with a punk rock band, and try to make a living by playing live shows around the U.S. for hundreds of days out of the year. You design things like Myspace layouts and concert flyers to pay the bills.

But even though I started small-scale, I have always believed in pixel-perfect, well-balanced, award-winning design. I believe in design that makes a brand’s message clear, easy to understand, and engaging. We can solve problems through great design.

By day I work for America’s biggest collegiate brand, designing everything from large-scale print pieces to custom iPad apps to websites that get thousands of clicks a day. By night? I do the same for some awesome, small businesses who want to wow their clients—and amaze some new ones.
