Essense Partners is an award-winning marketing firm focused on the energy sector. As Lead Designer at the New York office I help bring life to brands through design while managing the team of designers.

I handle all incoming art, and work with the marketing department to develop campaigns to help make Dayton look attractive to someone who would not normally find themselves in an urban environment. The whole goal of our organization is to make downtown somewhere people want to live,work,and play.

I worked with Blue Daring over a period of 5 months to help them with a variety of projects. I worked remotely from home on nights and weekends until they could hire another designer in their Chicago office.

While working at the paper I also volunteered my time to help out local organizations with design work. After a couple projects on a Pro-Bono basis I became a consistent freelance designer for the partnership. I did everything from posters to developing brand campaigns from the ground up.

I was responsible for the overall look and feel of the paper, as well as coming up with a cover and inside cover concept each week. I also managed the production director and one intern.

My primary responsibility included working with the client on ad layout. I managed the incoming artwork from advertisers using the database software "Filemaker pro".
I occasionally got to assist the Art Director with cover design, and basic layout within the paper.

I started working at the Dayton City Paper while finishing up my degree at Sinclair. 

My primary responsibility was creating ad artwork for advertisers in the paper.
