My name is Amruth A. Pillai, and this is my biography. I’m a man of many traits ranging from being the geek who fixes your computer to the guy who shoots the photos in your annual calendars. Let me take this paragraph to let you know who I really am. I am a graphic designer, website developer, art collector, gadget reviewer, Windows user, amateur photographer, Facebook addict, constant tweeter, frequent blogger, TV watcher, story writer, generous giver, poetic romantic semantic lover and most importantly, the best friend one can find! :) Read Less

I started my computing career when I was 6 years old, when I got my first computer. Since then, I’ve self-learned and mastered computer languages like C, C++, C# and JAVA, web programming languages like HTML, CSS, PHP and SQL and programs like Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects and the Windows platform.

In the pursuit of continuing my interests and earning a little money in the process, I created TrendGFX Design Studios, a graphic and website designing agency. It joined my interest in creating logos and logotypes for various companies and my knowledge of HTML/CSS put to use well. The company grew to great heights and I managed take it to even greater heights with an award-winning team of Tomi Rinne & Sanjay Rao. I eventually shut it down as I involved in improving my other fields of interest and continue my ever long journey of pursuing my passions.

After I got a bit tired of the computing scene, but mostly because I got tired of being called a geek, I started my career in photography, starting with my trusty Nokia N8-00, a 12 MP camera mobile phone, the best of its kind at the time. Below is one of my very first photographs from my phone that a lot of people liked, from then I began building interest into the hobby of clicking pictures!

After this photograph got published online and gained some momentum, I decided to experiment with what my little camera phone can do and went on to take even more amazing photographs later on!

Later, after a great deal of support from my parents, I bought my first semi-professional DSLR, the Canon EOS 60D. Since then, I’ve been going around the country shooting scenes and objects that catch my eye and titillated my senses. I’m a regular attendee of weekend photo walks conducted by the photographic communities here in the city and I try to cook up some events from time to time to keep myself occupied as well! :) Read Less
