An accomplished Jewish studies scholar, Allison Schottenstein is currently completing her PhD in history at the University of Texas, Austin. Ms. Schottenstein has received numerous grants and honors since beginning her doctoral work, including the Phi Kappa Phi Love of Learning award, the American Jewish Archives' Rabbi Theodore S. Levy Tribute Fellowship, and the Bernard and Audre Rapoport Fellowship. Allison Schottenstein also holds membership in Phi Alpha Theta, the national honor society for the history field.

Allison Schottenstein completed her undergraduate education at Brandeis University before embarking on her PhD at the University of Texas. A summa cum laude graduate of Brandeis, she received a wide range of honors and awards related to her undergraduate research and honors thesis and was inducted into Phi Beta Kappa.

Outside of her doctoral work, Alley Schottenstein serves as an editor with Scholar Compass. In this role, she assists students with college essays. Since 2013, she has reviewed books for the Pop Matters website, focusing on both cultural and political history books. Read Less
