I have always wondered how I came to be a photographer. How did it become my passion and when did I start loving it. I only realized I loved it when people started telling me I did. It was strange. I never thought of photography as my one true love. Photography to me was like breathing. It came natural. It was part of my existence. Photography is like limbs or eyes or ears. You know you can’t live without them. You know they are necessary to your survival. But you don’t think about how much you love them every day. They know it… Photography knows I love it… No need to go and tell the world I do.
I have a strong love for fashion and people. I find it different. I find the perfection of fashion photography very appealing. Fashion is like a universe on its own. It’s the perfect world. It’s an escape from reality. It’s like a second life I'm living. I guess I use my camera to capture memories of this perfect world. Perfection comes in so many different forms. The perfect body, the perfect eyes and the perfect ugliness or the perfect mistake…
When I pick up my camera the world turns into unimaginable beauty. Every emotion is deeper. Pain is portrayed perfectly. Tears turn into perfect drops that flow down cheeks almost as if heaven put them there just so that I could photograph them. I breathe deeper. I feel deeper. I understand more. The world starts changing and I see the world for what it really is.
I don’t talk much but everything changes the moment I pick up my camera. Photography revealed a different part of my personality to me. I’m in charge. I know what I want and I’ll go to great lengths if I have to. I’m not afraid to direct a model or to take a risk. I like doing weird things on shoots even though it doesn't always work. At least I know 1 out of the 10 things I try will work. Models definitely get in some exercise when modeling in front of my lens. I think that is a good thing.
What photographer am I? I’m the photographer that pushes a button and out comes a photo… Why? Because according to the world, that's what we do. ;-) Read Less
