Aitor Prieto was born and raised in Terrassa, Barcelona. At an early age he discovered a great interest in drawing and character design, which made him decide to enroll in artistic baccalaureate and later to continue his studies in the field of illustration, that he completed with outstanding honors at the Llotja school of graphic arts.
Since then he now works as a freelance illustrator and concept artist, combining his works of illustrated books with poster design and concept art.
Aitor Prieto is a passionate all terrain artist. The youth illustration, child illustration and character design are his specialty, complemented by his expanded imagination brings interesting projects as "The Garden of Roses" (winner of the Eva Toldrà illustration award), Gabi Wasabi or Kalumbo.
His style is a crazy combination of influences like Pixar, Disney and Dreamworks animation or the compact and direct essence of the current European comic, all mixed with a figuration based on the deformation of the shapes and volumes.
