I see myself as technically minded but add a creative flair to every piece of work produced. In my own time I live a very active lifestyle going to the gym and playing basketball in a group that I organise.

Design Engineer

As part of the design team I create custom built steel doors. With a huge product range from high security doors to acoustic rated doors, I have to ensure that my product knowledge and precision is key. My main role is to design doors and edit existing doors using AutoCAD and SolidWorks. I am predominantly based in the office, although I get involved in a hands on approach when measuring new door hardware, analysing design flaws and observing sheet steel manufacturing techniques.

Product Designer

At Sure I designed POS display solutions for the retail industry. I was responsible for liaising with clients to create design briefs and then seeing the projects from idea generation all the way through to manufacture. To achieve this I sketched ideas, 3D modelled concepts and created technical drawings using Inventor. Within the company I progressed to doing all the graphic design, website development and marketing material.

Shopfitters Assistant

Within my time at HLF Contracts I have assisted when needed on various projects,such as: making bedroom furniture, fitting kitchens, to making commercial shop units. In my job role I have overlooked design plans of projects then had to make and manufacture units using old and new joinery methods and then on occasion install them. I have learnt to be attentive and efficient independently and within a small team to produce the end products in time for set deadlines. The equipment I have used mainly consists of ;the hand drills, screwdrivers, ban saw, disk sander, jig saw, edging machine and various other hand tools. When needed to I batch primed and sprayed panels ready for assembly. Progressively, I am now learning AutoCAD so that I can CNC panels for the company.

Working for the UK’s number one resort I have to uphold a high standard of service, which I do by dealing with customers in a polite and helpful manner. I show my versatility regularly by switching between the bar and also the restaurant . I am responsible for setting up and closing down the bar and training new staff, I set it as my personal goal to apply myself within a team. Within this job role I gained many recognisable qualities; being fully cocktail trained and being an accomplished waiter, particularly in the restaurant.

Cocktail Bartender

Terrace Bar is the premium nightclub of Leicester. As a cocktail bartender here I had to learn, memorize and perfectly serve over sixty cocktails from the menu. This included using cocktailing skills such as flaming chocolate and oranges, double straining shaken drinks etc. to prepare, make and serve to the customer. With being one of the fast pace bars too I had to serve customers, take payments and clean in very fast paced manner. I had other responsibilities such as opening the bar, closing the bar, stock taking and restocking the bar.

Here I worked in a compact and fast paced club. As supervisor my role was to look after the whole bar area, train and overlook other staff whilst organising and restocking the displays and fridges. I also introduced cocktails to the bar and brought in my own menu which I designed myself using Photoshop.

Shop Floor Assistant

As a shop floor assistant at Best For DIY my main duties were; to restock the all the isles and shelves with stock and generally point all customers into the right direction with there DIY needs. I needed to have a wide spectrum of knowledge with all furnishings and DIY products to aid all customers and professional trades people. I learnt about all sorts of tools, home décor, painting and electricals etc. I had other duties such as to build new stands and displays for new stock, build wardrobes, desks etc for displays. Also I mixed Dulux paints to the specific shade for customers.
