This project is presenting some illustrations I've created as part of my research work in the field of history of electricity.

Behind the Picture

The Ganz Works or Ganz was a group of companies operating between 1845 and 1949 in Budapest, Hungary. The first turbo generators were water turbines which drove electric generators.
Production of dynamo generators started in 1883.

In the background I hold in my hand two German pocket D.C. voltmeter, used by radio users who wanted to know the condition of their batteries for their early valve radios.
