An Exhibition Booth of Metabolism

Designed a promo booth of Metabolism. ( Metabolism is a post-war Japanese architectural movement whose points are capsule and Ocean/Space City.)

Background of The Project
Digital Nomad and Remote Working are spreading among people these days. In the situation, value of living in "one" place becomes weaker and weaker and we have to consider what future house should be. I'm sure that spirit of Metabolism must give the key to answer the question. Therefore, I designed this booth to propagate Metabolism.

Purpose of The project
Metabolism is difficult and deep thought, so it is impossible to propagate all of the thought in the tiny booth. Therefore, the aim of this project is to take an interest in Metabolism by the booth. This exhibition just gives visitors a hint to learn the difficult and deep thought.
Learning the difficult thought, I utilized "trivia by the Guides", "Hands-On Exhibit" and "Helping to learn deeply".
Zoning
Entrance wall says summary of Metabolism and the reason why it should be revived. They  help visitors to understand the meaning of exhibit and realize that this theme isn't somebody else's problem. In addition, KAKO (means "past" in Japanese) and ARATA (means "future" in Japanese) welcome you. KAKO tells you trivia about metabolism and ARATA tells you how the thought will be useful in the future. (see above slide)
*ARATA also comes from an architect ARATA ISOZAKI who was related to metabolism. It's double meaning!

Through the entrance, "Floating City", "Capsule" and "Group Form" compose the entire booth. In "Capsule" booth, you can play with an architectural model. In addition, a capsule lights when you step into the"Group Form" booth. This installation make you understand the thought "a city which transforms by population".

Help to learn deeper
For the people who want to know deeper, QR code which allows you to access details of exhibit and reference works is on the stands. Scan the code when you take a photo of exhibit.
Metabolism is a little difficult theme, but really interesting. I'm pleased if you take an interest through this tiny exhibition booth.
