¿Que pasa cuando ves a Tu Madre mas allá de sus roles impuestos y/o asumidos y la reconoces como una mujer autónoma y libre?
Dada la naturaleza patriarcal que prima en nuestra sociedad, los roles o estereotipos vitales de la figura de Tu Madre, han mutado de un deseo natural a una imposición forzada, donde ella se ve obligada a cumplir con requisitos sociales innegociables en cuanto al cuidado de sus hijos, relaciones de pareja y conducta social. Su incumplimiento resulta en recriminación, acoso, sentimientos de culpa y en muchos casos violencia física.
En la "Lotería de Tu Madre", el enlace visual del “Punching Bag” o saco de Boxeo, representa la violencia implícita de esta situación. El hilo conductor gráfico se teje por medio de la lotería de feria, para así manifestar el hecho de que, aunque no todas sufran del cúmulo de exigencias, casi ninguna se salva de alguna y por ende, es escasa la madre realmente libre y autónoma.

What happens, when you see Your Mother beyond all the imposed and/or assumed social roles and recognize her as a free and autonomous woman?
Given the patriarchal nature that prevails in our society, the roles or vital stereotypes of the figure of "Your Mama", have mutated from a natural maternal desire to a forced social imposition, where she is forced to comply with nonnegotiable requirements regarding the care of her Children, relationships and social behavior. Failure to do so results in recrimination, harassment, guilty feelings and in many cases, physical violence. In the "Lottery of Your Mama", the visual link of the "Punching Bag", represents the implicit violence of this situation. The graphical guiding thread, is woven through the latin lottery, in order to manifest the fact that, although not all mamas suffer from this accumulation of demands, almost none is saved from any and therefore, there is seldom a free and autonomous mother.
