Towards Choice, Autonomy and Rights: An Action Agenda for Abortion Rights
I created the illustrations and layout design for this publication which is a guide for safe abortion rights, created by The YP Foundation. The guide is for the use of abortion advocates to generate awareness on the legal and medical aspects of abortion in India. The guide was translated into three regional languages in addition to English – Assamese, Hindi, and Malayalam.
The approach to the design and art for this project was to create inclusive and rights-based imagery, as opposed to the typical images used around abortion. The attempt was also to be represent a diverse range of people who may seek abortion services.
