Photorealistic clock - made in Adobe Illustrator!
The Reference Photo
While looking for a reference example, I was instantly drawn to the pearl heart detail in this Kate Spade watch. I knew I wanted to create a vector example of it. But, I was unaware of the amount of time it would require.
Time to sketch!
I sketched some designs, mainly to see capture how I was going to execute this project. I knew there was a lot of detail on the watch and wanted to portray it the best I could. Sketching helped me see what I needed to focus on.
First Draft
I knew my end goal, but I was not sure how to execute it. I started to get stuck on the pearl hearts. I watched hours of tutorials, but couldn't figure out how to get what I wanted. Thankfully my professor gave me some feedback. I instantly took it into account and worked on the pearls.
The Final
Final thoughts: This project was so hard, but in the end I am happy with the outcome! I learned so much about my creativity and have a deeper knowledge of vector graphics!
