For my third assignment using Autodesk Fusion360, I was tasked to design an orchid-infused merchandise by LS Creativo Pte Ltd, a local company specialising in corporate gifts for the tourism industry and local markets. My proposed design for this decorative ornament should be trendy, useful, and functional to be added to their product line.
My idea is that this wine stopper functions like the process of the orchid blooming. It is floral-scented and air-tight. It’s like, the flower blooms the way a person does when they want to drink.
Here's a brief description of the wine stopper:
Button (Seed): It is the scented part of the wine stopper. Pull it to seal and push it unseal the wine.
Petals: It is the decorative element. It turns into an orchid bud when it is sealed and blooms into an orchid flower when ir is unsealed.
Stopper (Stem): It is the part that keeps the wine sealed. It fits most wine bottles, preserves the smells of the wine, and improves its flavour even days after it is uncorked as it slows down the oxidation process.
The wine stopper is made out of wood for the top and stainless steel for the bottom. I think this is a great pair as it adds a touch of both craftsmanship and sophistication.
This time, I had to make a CMF (Colour, Material, Finish) Strategy as the client plans to line up their product offerings to the 3 distinct market categories: Education (Basic), Contemporary Lifestyle (Standard), and Luxury (Premium)
