The Rosette Nebula

The Rosette Nebula
This is NGC 2237 - The Rosette Nebula. This bright H II region is located in the constellation Monoceros, about 5200 light years away from earth and is about 120 light years in diameter.
The nebula is also home to a cluster of young stars known as NGC 2244, which is estimated to be about 4 million years old. These stars were formed from the same cloud of gas and dust that makes up the Rosette Nebula and are responsible for ionizing the gas and producing the beautiful red and blue colors that are visible in the nebula.

I actually forgot that I have data of this nebula from past winter but im happy to have rediscovered it. It would have been a shame to throw this data away.
