The Sims FreePlay: Marketing


The Sims FreePlay is a life simulation mobile game version of The Sims developed by Electronic Arts and Firemonkeys Studios. Working as an Artist on the marketing team at Firemonkeys, I created the key-art, app icons, in-game and social media content for 9 updates. This also involved preparing the submission packages for Apple, Google and Amazon.

GAME UPDATE KEY-ART
Concepting & production of game update key-art assets. Each update was based around a theme and the goal was to showcase the new content and animations in a way that would be exciting to players. The production process involved rendering the game environment into Maya, then bringing in, customising and posing the Sims in an internal animation tool before editing the final composition in Photoshop.


LIMITED TIME EVENT ART
Concepting & production of art assets to showcase LTE game content to players both in-game and on social media.






GAME UPDATE ICONS
Design & production of game update icons for submission to Apple, Google and Amazon app stores and The Sims FreePlay social accounts. The update theme informed the iconography and colour palette that I chose.
