The greatest figures of art and politics always had been in the king's court. They had the ability to please their sovereign and to fascinate the people.

I have here taken the Moroccan Monarchy's language throughout the heraldry and created several fictional emblems that combine religious, popular, humoristic, and political symbols to affirm the freedom of speech that is very much in danger. This project called "Les Républiques Marquises"  is part of an art exhibition that invents a new political regime inside the gallery space. The purpose of creating a Moroccan Republic is not criticize the Monarchy, but to affirm the right to invent another poetic regime that has no law upon it. It's an utopia that begins with fifteen passport covers.

This project has been exhibited in Ecole Nationale des Beaux Arts de Paris during the month of June 2011.
