This advertisement is targeted at the rich vs. poor, and young vs. old because it tells us that the surveys were filled out by adults earning more than $100K each year.

There are strong statements in bold fonts, and they are testimonials for why it is reliable, and it shows statistics that show the results of wealthy adults that filled the survey out to show that a large percent of people believe that CNN is the best news source.
How is photography used? Is it effective?
There is a photograph of a chart that shows the statistics of the people who filled out the survey. It is effective because it shows that a vast majority of people believe that CNN news is the most reliable.

It looks like it would be more addressed towards older and richer people who can afford a car and possibly white men.
What are the clues in each ad that reveal who the ad is trying to reach?
There is white man sitting in front of a nice house with nice cars. I think that this would be trying to reach wealthier adults.

You would find this in business because an automotive ad would be dealing with car businesses

They used a younger looking man, in front of a nice house, with nice cars. They also used bright colors of the car to make them stand out and big letters in the heading to draw your attention.
How is photography used? Is it effective?
Photography is used to show people either the truth or staged events and in this case a staged event of a man trying to decide what car to buy. I think it is effective because many people could look at this and think that all these cars are great and he has five of them so you should atleast get one.

This ad was targeted towards families because this ad is wanting families of all ages to come to their resort

Some clues in the ad were a list of things to do but the list consists of things for all ages and also there is a little kid on the front of the advertisement

You would find this ad in the travel section because the ad is wanting you to come and visit their resort for a vacation

Somethings that they did to attract attention were have the 20% off in bold and it is in very large print and it also states something about a childcare so therefore it attracts parents to go on vacation

Photography is used by showing a picture of a smiling girl which I think would be effective because it is showing that the girl is happy on vacation

I think this ad is targeted towards people who may have had a rough up-bringing and have trouble making good life choices. Specifically, sports players of that demographic. 

What are the clues in each ad that reveal who the ad is trying to reach?
The ad says “get caught reading”, which I can assume is an alternative to getting caught with some sort of substance or any type of behavior that one shouldn’t be getting into.

What section of the newspaper (or magazine) might you find this ad in? (news; business; feature, sports, travel, other ); why?
Sports. I think it’d be in the sports section because of the baseball field setting and baseball outfit. I’d think that it was supposed to be targeted at sports players who may have trouble with (what I said above).

Not that many words, letting the picture speak for itself.

How is photography used? Is it effective?
Photography is used to emphasize the point of the ad. It is effective because the big picture draws viewers in.

This advertisement is targeted to government vs. people because when people get too much control, they don’t get to enjoy doing what pleases them, but when people have too much freedom, they take it for granted.

What are the clues in each ad that reveal who the ad is trying to reach?
The clues in this advertisement that reveal who the ad is trying to reach is “Read this ad–Or don’t.” Another clue that shows this could be “So take a moment to celebrate all the little liberties you enjoy in America. Or, forget all this and take them for granted.”

You might find this advertisement in a political section of a magazine that describes political candidates that can be running to express how they will give you all this freedom to win the election.

Testimonials are used to attract attention because they testify how people will either appreciate the freedom they are given or will take them for granted.

How is photography used? Is it effective?
There is an American flag photo that is used in this advertisement. It is effective because it shows how the US is the most free country than any other nation in the world.

It is more directed towards all adults and especially women who may be younger.
What are the clues in each ad that reveal who the ad is trying to reach?
The ad says adults and women age 18-49.
What section of the newspaper (or magazine) might you find this ad in? (news; business; feature, sports, travel, other ); why?
This ad could be in the business section or usually there is a family section where they talk about all ages. I think it would be in the business section because it is trying to promote nick@nite but also get the message across about adults and women.
What techniques are used to attract attention? (bold fonts; testimonials; statistics, etc.)
They used dark/fancy writing on a lighter background and then made “nick@nite” bolder and darker.
How is photography used? Is it effective?
It was written as a note so it wasn't a picture to begin with, since it was just a note I think they used photography to save it and share it to everyone it couldn't reach. I think it could be effective to whoever sees and reads it.

Photography is used by showing a picture of to people an adult and kid and I think it would be effective because it shows that both people are happy so it encourages people to volunteer so that they could bring joy into kids lives

Adobe Visual Target Audience: For this assignment, we were expected to answer a series of questions about the consumers of Adobe professional work. We were to identify who the target customers would be for our work to sell to. We also had to figure out what changes and characteristics we should add to our work in Adobe to fulfill customer needs. The main goal of this project was to see how our customers can have a need for visual artwork created in Adobe software.
