Nando was a self-charging bracelet that uses your body's temperature to generate electricity, using a property called the thermo-electric effect.
We started with looking at home products that can generate and store power. We had ideas such as kinetic balls that would absorb kicks, or air condiitioning units that use outside wind to power it. We finally settled on personal heat absorption as an intersting space to work in.
We decided that the product needed to fit on the body to maximize heat transfer to the device so we went with bracelets as the physical manifestation. Here we looked ath the different ways we could achieve a bracelet and maximize the contact with the arm.
