I haven't played many MMORPGs sincethen, to OSRS gold my eternal shame and loss. There are so many real-life concerns and I simply don't have time to let them lure me into. As with all games it is the most time-consuming, with endless levels to conquer and things to get. There have been deaths during or in the aftermath of long sessions of RuneScape's less popular but popular sibling World of Warcraft, which I'm guessing also makes it one of the most frightening games.

On a typical day, I often find me having fun playing Quake or Half-Life or hanging out on Team Fortress 2 - games that come in force, leave their mark and then disappear. It's wonderful to play something I can enjoy and then put aside quickly, as opposed to having to think about how many pieces of wood I have in my possession or where I'm likely to fish in the coming session.

That being said, I'm still missing a bit of the endless grind and longer-term involvement (and pain) that comes with RuneScape. In its third edition as 'RuneScape3' (from 2013) with added content and a graphical revamp, there's a hint of hope that I could go back to it and see how it's going, just like I would with an old acquaintance.

Publisher Jagex has announced earlier in the year that RuneScape will go live in early access on mobile sometime in the summer. Today, anyone will be able to dive into its long-running MMORPG playing on iOS and Android.

RuneScape is free to play. However, subscribers get access to more adventures, skills, and extras. You can test out the membership for free with seven days of trial. The mobile versions support crossing-progression and cross-play with PC This means that you can switch between the two platforms and then continue the same way you where you left off.
