Monogram Logo
The objective of this project was to create a logo with two letters that were randomly assigned and with those two letters to form a brand in a specific category (clothing). In the future I plan to start my own clothing brand that works with extreme athletes to create gear that they are able to wear on and off duty. I decided to name my company “Quality of Life”, using the Q and the L that I was given. My goal was to keep the monogram sharp and clean to be attractive to an athlete’s eye.
Product Examples
I created four product examples that best represented the type and style of items I wanted to sell/ produce. I wanted everything to look uniform that way they are easily mixed and matched. I wanted the color pallet to stay simple but powerful enough to catch someone’s eye. The designs use the monogram logo as a pattern while incorporating simple but recognizable details of the brand.
Thumbnails and Mockups
I drew 48 initial thumbnails to explore the different styles and strategies to make up the ideal logo for the brand I wanted to create. The top four chosen, I then put into Adobe Illustrator and rasterized. I felt that the last logo mockup on the right was most fitting to the brand because of the simplicity and style of font.
