The concept for this project is based upon the interdependence of the Yin & Yang. Nothing is totally Yin or totally Yang, just as a total state of Yin is being reached then Yang begins to grow. Yin contains the seed of Yang and vice versa, they are constantly transforming into each other. Yin creates Yang and Yang activates Yin. They exist in harmony and one cannot exist without each other. A pair of opposites suspended in dynamic tension. The couple that lives in this space are just that. According to their Feng Shui trigrams, they are opposites. They embody the true essence of the harmony of opposites. Their space therefore should mirror this. A balance was created amongst space typologies, materials, colors, and light. Spaces became flexible, each transforming into an environment suitable for each occupant.
