‘Inside the World’s Stock Exchange’ is a data visualisation exploring the world’s financial markets and new artificial intelligence technology that is revolutionising the industry. We divided the visualisation into two core subjects, a simple summary of the top stock exchanges and human vs computer decision making.

We found that although computers made 3x more transactions than humans, the decision making from humans (at an educated guess) resulted in a more significant return-of-investment.

Artificial intelligence contributed to higher frequency trading to keep the stock market stable. These algorithms processed by artificial intelligence are too quick for the human brain to compute.
