Yoga for Better Sleep

Yoga for Better Sleep
When starting to design work, anyone may want to get some creative juices flowing with sketching. I promise they are not going to look good, but it helps get the ideas out and on paper. In my process of collaborating with a writer for an article about how yoga helps you sleep better, I had a vision of what I wanted to put together.
After sketching, I took my idea of a double exposure of a model and stars to the drawing board again. However, this time I focused on how to compose the shot.
Should my model be full body, sideways, hair sweeping across her face, or something else? These sketches above were just a few. And like I said before, sketches don't need to look great. I knew what I meant when I drew each one.

After doing this, it is important to think about how you want the light and shadows to work together in an image. I spent some time, again very basic, putting together some value compositions.
And now after spending time on preparation, it was time to go out and shoot. My shooting time really didn't take too long. I posed my model and photoshop did the rest of the magic. If anything, I spent a lot of time out in some fields in the middle of nowhere to capture a star shot in the sky.
I then added a background.
