UX DESIGN - AMEX Part 1 (Card Referral to Friends)

One of the group projects I had done during my user experience design course at General Assembly. In this project, we did a mock-up for a feature for users to recommend American Express (here on known as Amex) credit cards to their friends.

Our pitch in this project is that the person who receives the referral would be able to apply for a new credit card and get it approved within lunch hour (hence the use of the food-themed slides).

I worked with two team mates who had prior experience working in the finance industry. Therefore, I had gain plenty of knowledge on how the credit card application is processed. My highlight in working on the slides was having the opportunity to create two storyboards.

First one was to illustrate how Sara (the character who did not have a credit card) could have enjoyed a 50% discount at a restaurant if she had signed up for an Amex card.

The second storyboard tells another scene in which Amy (Sara's friend) sent a referral to a credit card she has been using to Sara. Within an hour, Sara completes the application and gets her card approved. She is now able to use the card available on her phone and enjoy that 50% discount in the restaurant.
