Course Objectives

The course will have three main objectives. You will have multiple opportunities to demonstrate these objectives. The three course objectives are below:

* Demonstrate critical awareness concerning the various roles and identities that are assumed on mobile devices

* Evaluate and apply mobile communication skills as juxtaposed with other means of expression

* Create a mobile artifact that intervenes in a place-based, public issue or problem

Course Questions

* How does my mobile device and mobile communication practices affect my  identity/identities?

* What is my responsibility to society given the affordances of mobile technology that are not available in other means of expression?

* How can I intervene in the ways that mobile communication might shape the future?
