Game Analytics Project

Winter Wonder Run was a seasonally themed browser game designed specifically to gather user play data. The game play for this game was only intended to keep players playing and interacting with the webpage. Player analytics were tracked using Google's webpage analytics as well as the early beta versions of Unity Analytics. As the project producer I was directly in charge of managing and tracking this data, as well as organizing it and presenting it not only to my team but as well as to other developers.
I was one of four Video Game Design students to build this project. My primary role of this project was as the producer which had me managing my teams task, timeline as well as tracking player data. I act as the 3D artist to create the player character. The web player for this project used my old portfolio page to host it as well as my Google analytics account. The team's documentation as well task management was done using google docs. All info graphics were created using Adobe Photoshop CC.
As the acting producer on Winter Wonder Run, I was required to submit a progress report to the instructor of the coarse. This was done via info graphic. The project had a four week development timeline and this info graphic above was my progress report at week 2 of development.
As part of our final presentation and release of our game we were required to have had at a minimum of 100 play testers. My team out of 7 was the only team to reach this play testing goal. This info graphic was my final product for presentation as the producer of the game. It details the user analytics that I was able to gather from my webpage over the first four days the game was live. I used two primary means other than word of mouth to distribute and gather play testers. The first method was via social media such as Facebook, twitter etc. While the other means of digital distribution was using an internet community site, for this I tried the Rooster Teeth community forums.
As part of my new portfolio I keep the game live on my own personal website. The graph above shows the user activity since it went live until now.
This presentation was the original pitch presentation my team and I created to start our project and get approval for the game.
