These are my still and video renders of my EMP grenade asset, as part of a personal project. I wanted to demonstrate my design, modelling/texuring and video editing skills to have a solid portfolio piece. I feel these renders have come out very well and illustrate my design. With a small amount of mesh optimisation and reduced polycount, this could easily be made into a working real time game asset, as a typical low detail grenade. Complete with working animation, animated textures and sound design, I think this would prove to add great value in a gaming experience.
I plan to carry out more single asset projects like this 3D and 2D (for weapons, vehicles and characters for example) and present them in a similar way to this in the future. I will then take on compliations of assets and present more environment work to make myself a more complete portfolio of work in terms of my game artwork.
