'heartknots'
An exhibition of paintings interpreted by the artist from various stories of
first generation young adults who grew up struggling with Internet Pornography.

He hopes that by creating a tangible image of their dystopia, people can confront their demons
and resolve the contradiction of fantasy and reality, untangling the knots in their hearts.

At the same time, the artist seeks to use this paintings as a entry point to start a dialogue about
Pornography from different perspective, bringing this taboo topic in Singapore society to light.

This is my Final year project with an experimental incorporation of fine arts to social movement.
Art is always on the front line provoking people's thoughts and stirs curiosity.
Hence in Singapore where pornography is a taboo topic,
it is the best medium to stir dialogue on this topic without being explict.
'heartknots'
The title represents the bondage in each of our hearts that prevents us from attaining true freedom.
The logo is done up with line to depict movement, either loosening the knots in their hearts of tightening instead.
The orange reddish colour is a colour of hope.
The paintings represents how the person struggling with pornography see their situations,
how pornography has tainted the way they view themselves and the world respectively.

I choose not to add any description to my works because
I want you the audience to infer from it what they are trying to communicate with you.

If you would like to know more about it you can personaly contact me to find out more.

All I can say is that I remove the element of hope from each painting because hope lies outside of their situation.
It comes from you.
You are their hope.
Only you can enter into their hearts and save them.
Only you can prevent them from being devour by their desparity.
Only you can save them from their primal self and allow them to be human again.
