Managing cPanel License IP
To set a cPanel License IP you really just need to follow these 2 quick steps. One of which would be to set the IP of your server that you wish to use the cPanel license on. Second you would want to activate the License in your cPanel. Once these 2 steps are done you should be ready to set up your new cPanel/WHM on your server.
First we will need to tell the cPanel License which server it will be assigned to. To do this we would need to add the servers IP address to the cPanel License, in order to register it.
Step two involves changing the IP address for your server.

Activating cPanel License
Next is very simple to activate your cPanel License. First, login to your VPS through SSH or the Get VNC option in the Cloud Control Portal. If you have a Dedicated Server, you would need to use SSH. Once you login simply run the following code and you should see an activation message.
/usr/local/cpanel/cpkeyclt
Now you should be able to log in to your WHM to configure your cPanel for your server.

cPanel Access
cPanel is normally accessed using SSL on port 2083 or simply by adding “/cpanel” to the end Domain Name/Host name. Also a cPanel license generally supports many different plugins to support hosting industry such as one click installer, softaclous, CSF and etc to make it more reliable.

Consolidate cPanel Accounts
Take stock of any cPanel license accounts that can be merged into a master account. Some of your users may not require cPanel access at all. In this case, their primary domain can be converted into an add-on domain under a master cPanel account.
Remember that VPS, Dedicated, and Reseller accounts can create unlimited add-on domains, which are basically separate websites managed under one cPanel license. For many situations this may prove the most advantageous and easier to manage.
