JUNK HUNTERS
A few years ago, a separate market was born.
The scrap metal recycling market.
This business is divided into 3 categories; hunters : the latter roam the dumps, streets and households asking to be offered or sold scrap metal. They have on them magnets to detect metals hidden under the ground and a balance to weigh it. The collectors: constitute the second group in the order of this business because it is with them that the hunters come to sell their stock. And finally the wholesaler ; which recovers what the collectors were able to collect. In most cases, it has contracts directly with the steelworks.
Those who have been in the business for a long time are enriched (I am obviously talking about wholesalers and a little about collectors).
Today, this market is so saturated and the product is scarce. As a result, the small hunters of this product are adapted to this situation.

Recently, I had the good fortune to meet a group of young scrap hunters.
They allowed me to follow them to one of the sites where they hunt their loot.
I was amazed by the technique they use to find their treasure on this site which is, by the way, a dump.
They burn the rubbish so that anything scrap can be seen among the still burning debris. Then they pour water on it to extinguish the flames and release the smoke. In order, they recover the loot by walking on still burning debris , wearing just simple slippers or worn shoes.
