Build a Bear | Branding & Strategy


Brief: Rebrand an existing brand, and provide the company a dynamic system of branding.
Solution: Branding for Build a Bear workshop, for a changed audience. The Dynamic system uses alternate icons for the logo for various check points at the store.
This project was part of a course called Dynamic Branding, where we picked a brand and reworked on their Brand Profile and Visuals based on our research. 
We worked on the Company called Build a Bear, which is a children's self-customizing your plushie brand. However, upon visiting various Build a Bear Workshops and talking to people present, we realized that it was no longer a Kids-only brand, but rather a gifting option brand for all age groups, with most adults buying for themselves/ friends or Significant others, while having great memories of their first Build a Bear plushie.


The color system used for the rebrand consists of bold and saturated colors. Since the rebrand expands the audience to “Not just children” the color palette therefore expands from the primary colors and plays with other colors that speak caregiving and loving archetypes.
The type face used is taken keeping in mind an easy to read font which can be read by kids and adults alike.
