The promotion of a place or location through films happens directly or indirectly, it does not matter if the Film makers intended to or not, they are showcasing a place to a huge number of audience and it is known to have a very positive impact on the tourism for that place. 
Marketing of places through films is a widely accepted phenomenon by Tourism managers around the world. But the use of film induced tourism as a method to build a tourism platform is not practiced by a lot of people. 

While studying on how different places have been impacted by films shot there I am going to narrow down the study and focus on a city where numerous films have been shot (Delhi in this case) and how we can promote that destination by using its physical and geographical presence in films.
