Digital Media and Learning Applications
6.4.2 Weeks 3-4 Mastery Learning Project: Create an Interactive Quiz
The first project for week four in the digital media and learning applicataions class was to create an interactive quiz based off of a video that was chosen in week one. The interactive quiz was based off of a research paper as well that included nine different questions from assessments created in week two of the class. The instructor provided the a template for the quiz, new images, questions, answers, and feedback had to be provided through the use of coding. The learning outcome for the project included participation in providing a review of at least one peers' work, describe the overall project outcomes and learning experiences through written documentation, and demonstrate technical accuracy and attention to detail. My quiz was based on a video from the NASA website on a project called CORAL, that utilized technology in order to assess coral reefs. The target audience for my quiz was geared towards high school students. The purpose of the project was to create a digital media asset that engaged learners and provided feedback in order to build on their learning experiences.
6.4.3. Mastery Presentation and Reflection:
The final project for week four was to create a video walk through of the quiz, showing each question and feedback in detail. There needed to be enough time for the viewer to read everything presented. The learning outcomes from the project were to create a comprehensive project presentation in the form of a video, describe the overall project outcomes and learning experiences through written documentation, and demonstrate technical accuracy and attention to detail. The target audience for the video was viewers of my portfolio and mastery journal, as well as the high school students the questions were created for. The purpose of the project was to show the overall progress of the interactive quiz while creating a piece for the master portfolio site using Screenflow.
