BUTTON COLLECTION HANGTAG

Women's Button Collection Hangtag for OGIO
A new hangtag for a new collection. OGIO was well known in both the adrenaline-driven motocross world and the world of golf, but had not capitalized on the potential of the women's market. The new segment required new designs for every piece of merchandise. The new hangtag needed to be fashionable, timeless, flexible, and adaptable.
Product Story
The Button Collection was OGIO's first Women's Line for several years. Sales teams were losing sales because collegiate buyers wanted to purchase both men's and women's lines from one brand. I was hired as the sole female graphic designer on the team to, among other OGIO graphic design projects, work on developing this new line of lifestyle bags from the ground up. At the same time as my hire, OGIO hired a female Industrial Designer who conceptualized and designed the bags and brought the vision to life. We researched trends and competition, and ultimately developed the OGIO Button Collection. I worked on the original color palette, shown below, as well as the interior pattern which was heat-stamped onto the bag liner. This pattern was used as the textural element in marketing materials and the interior of the hangtags. I then designed the OGIO Women's Hangtag which has been in use, not only on this collection, but in many other collections for the women's segment.
This collection was released in 2012, and 6 years later these bags have sold so well that they are still OGIO's main line of women's collegiate bags.
