Research: 'Home' for International Students

We aimed at developing an understanding of the behavior of International students by different research methodologies that what are the things that affect their lifestyle, the way they communicate with their family or loved ones and the way they comfort themselves and make themselves feel like home away from home.
The research questions include how they communicate with loved ones and what remind them of home in the adopted city.
The team explored international students’ communication with loved ones, their daily routines and the use of artifacts, groups
or communities in adopted city, events related to culture and virtual communities based on interests and same cultural background.
The research gives insights to different stakeholders or relationships in the context. Intended audience includes technology companies which interested in facilitating people’s remote connection, cultural institutions in local places which give support
