In early March 2018, the Forbes website posted an article stating that real estate investment opportunities in California for home builders and rehabilitators should increase during the next few years. Thanks to the technology boom as well as becoming a spot for migration, California has seen an uptick in real estate investment opportunities across the state. Property investment in high-cost areas such as San Francisco should continue to increase as well.
However, the article warns that builders whose projects may take several years to complete or investors who plan to purchase property as multi-year rentals may wish to hold off on these plans. This is of note especially for those looking in the Bay area, Los Angeles, or San Diego, areas with a higher risk of prices peaking and then falling sharply over the next few years.
