Ambient Advertisement
Ecostore: Carbon Capture Pak – made from renewable sugarcane plastic that traps CO2 from the atmosphere as it grows, a sustainable alternative to petroleum-based plastic. Reduces carbon footprint and helps reduce climate change – 100% recyclable.
The idea is to place Ecostore Carbon Capture Paks on and around public transport. The paks are placed on support poles on bus and hand hooks on trains. This way, the person will be literally be “capturing the carbon”. The support poles on bus will be transformed into sugarcane shape to reinforce the fact that Ecostore Carbon Capture Paks are made from sugarcane.
Public transport is chosen as the place to put the advertisement because public transport usage in Auckland has doubled since 2000/1; therefore it would reach a lot of people. As there is not much to do in public transport, people are more likely to be looking around the bus/train. The unusual shape and design of the poles and hand hooks would attract their attention.
