Workshop 1 2 3
This is a series of observational publications that reports a participatory event held in Yishun Avenue 10, run by local organization named Participate In Design (PID). The main purpose of these volumes of publication is to stress the specific precautions undertook by PID to incorporate the elderlies in a public housing collaborative project. The final design of the publication is a book-like construction consisting of only two white rubber bands and wooden boards that doubles as the front and back boards of the series. This design gives a distinctly raw finishing, which is what the Yishun event symbolize - an ongoing workmanship of a community kitchen designed for the elderlies. The imperfectness of the texts silkscreen on the cover also represents the ethos of what a collaborative workshop should be - an experimental approach towards different prototypes and people.
